The Dock Dog World Championship brings together the best of the best to compete in canine aquatic sports. This event has it all: the Big Air competition, the Extreme Vertical jump, the Speed Retrieve and the Iron Dog. With hundreds of competitors from all over the world, this competition turns up the heat!

Hero Dog Awards
Beverly Hills, CA – October
The Hero Dog Awards were created by the American Humane Association to celebrate the devoted relationship between dogs and people. The annual national competition searches out and recognizes America’s Hero Dogs – often ordinary dogs who do extraordinary things, whether it’s saving lives on the battlefield, lending sight or hearing to a human companion, or simply the tail-wagging welcome a pet owner relishes at the end of a hard day. The categories of competition include service dogs, military dogs, hearing dogs, law enforcement/arson dogs, search and rescue dogs, guide dogs, therapy dogs, and "emerging hero dogs".

Flyball NAFA CanAm Classic
Indianapolis, IN - October
The North American Flyball Association is once again holding the CanAm Classic. This event is the World's Largest Flyball Tournament. Competitors from all across the U.S. and Canada, over 500 people and their dogs, will attend this three-day event at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds.

Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championship
Chattanooga, TN – September
The Skyhoundz World Canine Disc Championship is the premier disc-dog event in canine sports and features top teams from around the world. Contestants and their canine teammates will earn points for tricks ranging from simple throws to unbelievable acrobatics. The championship will include more than 100 teams from eight U.S. regions as well as teams from other participating countries. Many of the canine athletes expected to compete were rescued from animal shelters. Funds raised will benefit the McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center.

Furry Scurry
Denver, CO – May
This event raises funds for the Dumb Friends League (Denver Humane Society), increases awareness about homeless pets and brings the Denver community together to celebrate the human-animal bond. It is the second largest dog walk in the nation with 12000 attendees, 5000 dogs and over 150 vendors and sponsors. In addition to the walk, pet lovers had the opportunity to meet adoptable pets, watch dog contests and demos, and shop for pet-friendly goods and services at the Flea-less Market.
