My dog, maui is suffering from some kind of wheat allergy. i found the z-ridge bones at her groomers and decided to try one...she loved it so much that she carried it around the house with her for an hour, then she ate it. her breath smells wonderful, and i'm happy that i can give her something to chew, and freshen her breath, that won't cause her to break out in hives! thank you so much!

My pug scooter has allergies and a thyroid condition. many other "premium" treats would lead to allergic reactions, but not so with the jerky naturals. Scooter is a very picky eater and loves these treats. I break them up into several pieces and put it into his kong. i have also found the jerky naturals can also be crumbled and reformed around pills to give my dog medication.

My dog, amos, is a 9 year old chocolate lab. recently he has been experiencing some issues with his back legs and lower back. He was on a prescription pain medication that was making him groggy. I just started my akita allie (5yrs) on hipaction treats. She has had 2 acl surgeries in the past 8 months. She is scheduled to have the 1st knee redone. I can see some improvement in just 1 week on this treat, but surgery is still needed. I hope that a regular regimine of zuke's will help both her knees heal and get stronger. I miss my painfree pup and our long walks. I'll keep you posted on allie's progress...keeping fingers crossed and hipaction near by! her sister maggie, a 10 yr old border collie enjoys the treats too. But she hasn't slowed down a bit.

After a recent trip to the vet with our rescue huskies, milton (approx. 7 years) and nala (approx. 5 years,)our veterinarian diagnosed mild arthritis in milton and recommended daily glucose treatments for both dogs as a preventative method. Mr. Boo is 14 and has been getting arthritis in his hips. It was getting so bad he couldn't jump and even walking was obviously painful. The medications the vet gave him was helping a bit, but it was causing him to be listless and his coat was getting matted and coarse. We started him on 2 hip action treats per day and have been able to cut out the med's completely. He's running and jumping again with only a slight limp. His coat has improved dramatically and he seems much more alert and happy. Our older shelter-chihuahua had very few teeth left when we got her so she can't eat hard snacks. My 10 year old queensland healer kori, is a frisbie flyin fool, but with age comes soreness in her hips after a small session of flight, which has cut her flyin time down tremendously over the past few years. i would give her 2 baby asprin to help her out, as you could tell it was bothering her to get her backend up from laying down, and the first few steps were cautious. i saw the hip action treats at a little dog store in newhope, penn. Henry, my sheltie, loves z-fillets. every morning before i leave for work he gets a fillet. he follows me around the kitchen while i'm doing other things in anticipation. it's so funny to watch. i keep the open bag in a plastic cookie jar and when he hears me start to open the jar he looks up at me with such a huge smile, it's awesome! it's a great way to start my day and his :)

After planning our puppy adoption for the last year, in august, my husband & i finally got maeby. She is a gorgeous beagle pup, and we have been in love with her from the moment we met. My dog birkie is nearly 15 years old. Last july she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She has lost a lot of weight and it's been difficult to get her to eat, even though her doggie hospice diet consists of freshly cooked meat, poultry and eggs, she often balks at her meals. Ever since i adopted brooke lynn, my lab/shep mix, she has had constant battles with tummy troubles. Even the littlest treat would send her into "emergency bathroom mode". I had started giving moe bland traditional puppy treats, he was ok with them but i wasn't. I wanted something good for him but it also had taste great and thats how i found zuke's. I have a siberian husky, i tried peanut butter 'n blue berryz last week, i was surprise to be honest how affordable is and how great the ingredients are, my dog is allergic to chicken, chicken fat and chicken broth, most of the treats out there has any of this three ingredients that my dog can't have so is a challenge to get something good for him because he gets bored really quick too, but since he tried the mini bakes, he will do anything to get a treat, and he loves them. I work with a large variety of dogs and they all have a wide variety of food allergies and i was having to constantly swap out treats for each dog and was worried about cross contamination. We rescued a german shorthaired pointer a week ago. he is 20 month old and had been locked in a small pen his whole life. he knew nothing- not how to climb stiars (he was so weak) not how to use the bathroom outside (nothing). i tried several dog treats and none he like- then i went to get him some bones (so he would stop eating my bed) and talked to the clerk at the dog food store. he suggested your mini-naturals but also added "i would never attempted that dog". the loss of our girl sea jay (also a gsp) killed us. My 6-year-old american staffordshire terrier tore her acl (ccl actually) and ended up having a very complicated and expensive knee surgery. after the surgery i was informed that there was some arthritis that had developed in her knee. six months after the surgery, miss cleo was stil holding her leg up when she first woke up in the morning. her surgeon informed me that it was possible that the arthritis was causing this problem and i should start her on glucosamine/chondroitin plus omega 3s. zukes was the only treat i could find that actually told me how much glucosamine was in each and every treat. that was so important to me and i was amazed that i could not find another product that had the same information. just about two weeks after starting her on zuke's she stopped holding her leg up and the slight limp has completely disappeared! she's running and playing like she did when she was 2 and i can not thank you enough! zuke's has made so much of a difference in her life!

My best friend, bo a teacup yorkie, is 3 years old. He loves to run and jump. A few months ago, my cousin, brittany, accidentally stepped on bo's leg. Bo held his leg up and stopped running. I shipped my beloved 9 year old lab-ridgeback cross from fl to ak recently. we had been separated for 6 weeks during the travel embargo due to the extreme heat in the lower 48. she had been kept in a small apartment and had become depressed at our separation. Also received little exercise during this time. then she was crated and endured a 14 hour plane trip to anchorage. Then re-crated and 4 more hours and 2 small planes later arrived in the aleutians. when she arrived in anchorage, i had her picked up by berring sea animal clinic. i spoke with them shortly after her arrival and gave them a brief history stating my concerns over her outlook, lack of exercise, confinement, and general increasing stiffness. i asked them about glucosomine chrondroitin and they suggested your product - giving it a good endorsement. My boyfriend recently purchased a bag of zuke's hip action for our dogs. Our great dane xena turned seven last month and was really starting to show sighns of slowing down and being very stiff. I can't believe what a change in her since she's been taking these everyday. I feed her four a day and she is like a puppy again . We have a small mixed breed dog, billy, who is nearly 16 years old. she has been remarkably healthy her entire life, and only really started showing signs of age a couple of years ago, when she showed stiffness in her joints and some mental confusion. our vet recommended glucosmamine, and we started giving her chewable tablets. however, she quickly got to where she refused to eat them and we had to grind them up and sprinkle it on her food, which was a pain. then i discovered zuke's hip action in the grocery store. i started giving her hip action as a glucosamine source, and she loved the biscuits. plus, within a month or so, it dawned on both me and my husband that she had a new level of alertness and bounce in her gait, which we attribute to the zuke's hip action. It's been a year since i was told my baby had bad hips. She was placed on pain medicine and became a very sleepy dog that didn't want to go for her walks anymore. my niece came by just about a month ago and gave me your hip action treats in the beef and chicken. she say to try her on these aunt linda well i thought what could it hurt. My yellow lab, finn, and i compete in a growing sport called dock jumping. it is an awesome way to bond with your dog and also an excellent way to wear him out! but, with power bones on our side, finn goes strong all day during an event, jumping on average about 19 feet, usually around 20 or 30 times! during training, he does uphill and shallow water retrieves and with power bones, he doesn't miss a beat. we love zuke's! he loves them because they taste great...i love them because they're made in the usa of excellent ingredients!

What a great find to discover zuke's at my local natural food store. my yorkshire terrier puppy, sophie, is exceptionally hard-headed and not motivated by food, so training has been challenging. she is so strong and agile that we knew she would exceed with agility training if only we could find something to motivate her. My dog is four month old cockapoo with allergies and a very picky eater, but when i open the first pack of peanut butter mini naturals and the lamb jerky it was amazing to see how much he loved the flavor, he even ate the first bag of mini naturals in two hours, i know it was a bit too much but he could't stop eating them. My two-year-old pekingese is infamous for his food allergies and his picky palette. I have a 7 month old golden retriever named scout. I'm a vegetarian, and after much research, discovered that dogs can go veggie as well. However, i also discovered that it's really hard to find treats that don't use meat products. (i am not posting this to discredit zuke's, this is not to stop anyone from buying from zuke's, as this can happen with any training treat, i only post this as a caution to dog owners) we were taking my 7 month old puppy to a training class at our local pet care store, and we purchased zuke's training treats to use as an alternative to the trainer's fattening dog treats. Before his class, i gave smoke one of the treats and he began to choke (as he has aspirated the tiny treat), he stopped breathing and was diagnosed with bi-laterial aspiration pneumonia, 4 days and a couple thousand dollars later we brought smoke home from the emergency animal hospital, and i am happy to report that two months later he is a perfectly healthy and happy puppy. Again i only post this to make dog owners aware of this, not in any way do i want to discredit zuke's, this can happen with any small training treat.

I have been a canine trainer for nearly 20 years. I have worked for training companies at theme parks nationwide and have owned my own obedience and problem solving canine company for nearly 5 years now. i have used all types of various treats from different manufactures over the years, most with decent results. I needed a treat to take with me when maggie the pitbull and i do pet therapy at the hospital, these jerky treats do the trick and don't get crumbs everywhere. Plus, i put them inside her kong toy and she actually wants to work at getting them out.

Finally there is a great treat out there like the zuke's jerky naturals! i can actually understand what the ingredients are! not alot of chemical mumbo jumbo. My acd, piper goes over the moon for zuke's. I use them in agility class as a reward and i find i get better results. It is also nice because her boston bff frances, has food allergies and with these treats i can give them to her too! so thank you, thank you, thank you!! (and piper & frances thank you too :) )

We train dogs here at the sanger powers correctional center. the dogs eventually go to the handicapped. I found the jerky naturals at a pet store in vermont, when i was visiting friends at killington. They're awesome. My border collie, louise, has food/treat restrictions. No chicken, beef, lamb, pretty much just fish or veggies. My 3 month old shih-tzu/yorkie mix puppy loves the z-ridge carrot bones. She loves to chew, but finding a bone that is both healthy and appealing to her has proven difficult. The z-ridge does the trick! once she has one she will run away and chew it until it is gone!

My yellow lab sprocket loves pretty much any food, but she goes nuts over zuke's z-ridge dental bones. I have a little shitzu named dutch. I was giving him a lot of different brands of chew bones but every time he developed some skin allergy from them. Since i started to buy z-ridge he has had no rash or itchiness at all. He likes this bone so much that as soon as i give it to him he disappears with it till it is gone. I just wanted to say thanks for making such great products. My whippet, leo, was not a food motivated dog. Now with the assistance of the mini naturals, he is has exelled at obedience training. leo would also like to comment on how much he loves the z-ridge dental bones. We have two shiba inu's, barbie & caleb. caleb has always had nice teeth, we adopted him at about a year old, and at seven years he was just starting to get plaque. we adopted barbie when she was four, and her teeth were in very bad shape. no one knows why, but we've had them cleaned two times in the last two years. we tried different 'chews' to help her, we brushed her teeth all the time, but nothing worked. then we found zuke's z-ridge dental bones! they both love them. We do not allow kayla to chew on rawhide chews, greenies, or other "plastic" bones due to gi problems that could arise. we do not want to take the chance. we saw the z-ridge bones at a local pet store, and after reading ingredients, i was sold on trying it out. kayla was sold too! when we give her a z-ridge (a large one), it becomes playtime. she runs around with the z-ridge, throwing it up in the air, tossing it all around the house, until she has exhausted herself. this play continues for several days until she finally decides to chew on it. we don't let her chew on it for a long period of time, so that way it lasts longer and she can start her play routine another day. she is a pit bull mix and quite the destroyer of bones. thank you zukes for your high quality products! and keep churning out new z-ridge flavors!

A year and a half ago i adopted my first dog (never had a pet). within a month he started developing allergies. after a year i found i was unable to purchase the majority of treats, foods (some fruits, proteins, grains and soy allergens), and pet hygiene products. that i had to double up flea treatment and had to stop using some detergents and household products. zuke's snacks have been the only snacks i have found that micah doesn't have a reaction to. the first non-veterinary prescribed food item that he's had in a loooooong time. thank you!

Our older shelter-chihuahua had very few teeth left when we got her so she can't eat hard snacks. She's also just crazy for chicken and after many trials and errors we finally found the only snack she will eat- the chicken z-filets. Our 5lb yorkie puppy was snubbing most treats and our groomer suggested glazed chicken z-filets.... Wow were they a hit. Everytime he hears the bag open he gets excited. Henry, my sheltie, loves z-fillets. every morning before i leave for work he gets a fillet. he follows me around the kitchen while i'm doing other things in anticipation. it's so funny to watch. i keep the open bag in a plastic cookie jar and when he hears me start to open the jar he looks up at me with such a huge smile, it's awesome! it's a great way to start my day and his :)

I have been giving brooklyn natural bully sticks, and while he loved them, i could not stand the smell of the stick or his breath! so when i discovered the z ridge dental bone, i was pleased to see the all natural ingredients and thought i'd give it a try.turns out brooklyn loves them! he went nuts over the cranberry flavour and he loves it so much he has been sitting very happily in the corner for an hour chewing away, and his breath smells better already!

Cheeca the cat is an eight year old himalayan. He was rescued from a near death state of neglect one year ago and is now a happy healthy cat. I have given him a few different types of treats, which he would take, but not with much gusto or excitement. Yesterday i bought a bag of zuke's natural purrz chicken treats. Upon inspecting and tasting his first natural purrz treat, cheeca the laid back docile himalayan became crazed with desire for more. You could hear the skitter-skatter of his nails on the floor as he chased me full speed through the house, with his eyes on the treat bag. These treats are amazing, and cheeca approved on the highest level. It's like feeding an alligator! kudos to zukes for making the best cat treats ever! i'm hooked and cheeca approves.

Our 13 year old cat, fairyin, was taking glucosamine in the form of liquid added to her food daily and even though she didn't like the taste of it she would eat it anyway because she knew it was making her able to walk good again. now, with your hip action cat treats she gets her daily glucosamine plus the needed chondroitin as well and she absolutely loves the taste of the treats!! it makes me really happy to see her gobble them up and watch her get to enjoy her morning soft food again without that yucky liquid remedy in it. forever grateful to you all for this "miracle" product!! thanks tons!!

I just got the cat hip action treats for my two cats. my cats love these!! i had tried 4 other products and they wouldn't touch any of them.

About 4 months ago dickens fell from his window perch when the velcro let loose. I did not know he was injured or if he had arthritis setting in his hind hips. He is 14 yrs old now and weighs 13 lbs. A friend of mine was out in co and told me about zukes hip action for cats. I purchased some right away when the vet said it looked like arthritis. he was at the point of not sleeping with me because he would not jump up on the bed, he would just flop on the floor and fall sideways to lie down, he would not do anything that would make him jump up on anything even his favorite places to sleep. I felt so sad i was afraid i would have to put him down if things got much worse. i started him on hip action about 3 weeks ago, and within 1 week he began to improve. Within 3 weeks of taking it and the natural purrz, he is back to his normal self , running, jumping, playing, purring and sleeping with me once again. while the vet said he has some cataracts even his eyes are clear and bright and he is so happy. I bought the hip action treats not even realizing what they were, i just wanted a moist treat for my 16 year old maine coon who cannot chew the hard treats anymore. We are not even through the first bag yet and we can see a huge difference in her already. Miss kitty had a luxating patella 10 years ago and has never been able to walk or jump right ever since. Over the years her hips have also gotten bad, she walked with her rump low to the ground and a "halloween cat" arch in her back. We got her stairs to get to her favorite spots and had a custom "tree" built for her with ramps so she wouldn't have to jump or climb to look out the window. Since starting on the treats she walks with her back legs much straighter and the arch in her back while still there is not as noticeable. She has even started standing up to check things out, jumping in the bathtub, and jumping off things again. She has done none of this for at least 5-6 years!! we even had to re-arrange furniture and start keeping doors to bathrooms closed to make sure she doesn't hurt herself! i already have another bag bought to make sure she won't have to go a day without them. Thanks again for giving miss kitty the chance to live out her senior years comfortably.

At 16 years my sweet grey tabby precious's joints just weren't what they used to be. I'd tried every hip & joint product on the market and couldn't get any into her without a struggle. despite not being a very picky eater she refused to eat any tablets or powders, even mixed into her favorite wet food. About 3 months ago, one of my outside cats flower (yes he's a boy - named after the skunk in bambi) went missing for approx. 4 days. when he finally came back he was limping so bad he wouldn't even bother walking. i took him to the vet only to discover he had somehow dislocated his hip. i kept him inside for 2 weeks with a tape sling on, when it was time for him to get the sling taken off the dr was very pleased with his ability to get around and walk but the xray showed his hip had somehow popped back out of place. they mentioned needing the $500 fho surgery in order to fix it for good. unfortunately like most - i'm not made of money, so i asked what my options were. the vet mentioned that the hip wasn't going to get worse but that it would cause arthritis to set in sooner and would probably cause him not to be as mobile as most cats his age (1yr). so one day while i was browsing the interet i came across www.catster.com. in that website there is a forum for people to discuss any issues they may have had with their cat. it was there i first heard about zuke's and how helpful it had proven to be with another cat who suffered a dislocated hip. i quickly asked them for your web address and purchased a bag of hip action treats. for 2 months now flower has been running, jumping, chasing bugs, wrestling with his brother and his hip hasn't phased him a bit. i am now in the process of ordering my 2nd batch before i run out!!

My 3 year old cat, hoots, was diagnosed with a knee displacia problem when she was just a year old. I was told that there was no guarantee that a surgury could even cure the problem and advised to use that option as a last resort. I found hip action treats a little over a year ago and my usually picky eater fell in love with them. I have since seen a marked improvement in her, i haven't seen her limping at all in well over 6 months and she is much more active and much happier than she used to be. I have been recommending this product to everyone i know with older cats or cats experiencing joint problems. Hootsy loves these so much that she 'reminds' us if we forget to give them to her...

I heard about your products from a yahoo group i was in. i have a senior catizen named dusty who is 13 years young. he often walked stiffly, like his joints hurt. he wasn't as playful as he used to be. i tried your hip action, and it is like i have a brand new cat!! he doesn't move stiffly anymore, and has even started playing with his cat toys again. every day he reminds me to feed him his treats. he loves them, and he is a very picky eater. My nephew has been promoting glucosamine & chondroitin for stiff, arthritic limbs of our cats jumper (19) and maggie (16)since he had good results with his collie on drug store vitamins. a recent vacation to the carolinas found us in a mast general store and in front of a table full of your fine products and they are made specifically for dogs and cats! cats at an advanced age like these two can be extremely finicky eaters but i thought this worth a try. wow!! maggie has turned her nose up at every treat set in front of her for 5 years and jumper can pick a prescription pill out of any treat or food. they are both jumping on hind legs at the sound of the bag after 1 week. they must like something here! the humidity of summer is jumpers rough time of year as his hips and rear legs stiffen. we'll keep a very close eye on how he responds here, and if this standing on hind legs continues and if maggie keeps on eating then i guess you will have a loyal new customer family! also-thanks for a very helpful website. good to know there are local stores carrying your products and that i can order direct if i need to. will let you know how jumper and maggie do with "hip action" over time. thanks fred wordell

At night, our three cats get their "kitty cookies." all i have to do is call "kitty cookies!" and shake the bag and they all come running. they get a mixture of cat hip action and purrz. after starting this, our oldest cat (16) is now jumping up to the kitchen counters again! to see her running around, you would never know she is that old, and my husband and i agree that hip action has definitely made a big difference in her mobility. on the doggy side, i use mini naturals for training our dogs (four of them) and power bones as "rewards" after running at an agility trial. they all love them, and i love the small size of the minis for training and the nutrition of power bones for recovery after a hard day of running. thanks for such great products!!!

My 18 year old cat franny has been suffering with arthritis for the past year and has been walking with lowered hind legs. i have rejected useing veterinarian prescribed medications as there is great difficulty in administering them and i decline putting my old cat under that daily stress and discomfort -- but in the past month i have been giving hip action to fran (4 treats a day) and she is walking with her hind legs upright again. i can see she is more comfortable and experiencing much better motor function. thank you for a great product.

Bianca is a 6 year old long hair white, princess, kitty cat.she only likes dry chow. No human food, no milk,tuna fish or tuna juice, no meat of any kind. Thank you very much for coming out with a product that is worthy of sensational recognition. Georgie, our "brown tabby retriever" (he retrieves better than the puppy) will not leave me alone since i brought natural purrz home yesturday. I always thought i was giving our cats a healthy balance of food...yet, i was terribly leary about all the gluten in their food, since we do not eat wheat ourselves, why should we give it to our cats? then this whole pet food recall really made me search for a better product than what the markets have to offer...this is when i found purrz. The ambassador, our pure jet black noble man, is more sutble, never begs or really plays, he just turned 11.
