Spark one of our border collies started to slow down, we started him on hip action & within 4 months he started to run and jump like a puppy. We told friends & they have their 9 yp spitz on it. thanks for making a great product.

Mr. Boo is 14 and has been getting arthritis in his hips. It was getting so bad he couldn't jump and even walking was obviously painful. The medications the vet gave him was helping a bit, but it was causing him to be listless and his coat was getting matted and coarse. We started him on 2 hip action treats per day and have been able to cut out the med's completely. He's running and jumping again with only a slight limp. His coat has improved dramatically and he seems much more alert and happy. My pup sierra- an 11 year old yorkie was beginning to ail a few years back- she has oscillating knee caps and it started to affect her hips and she wasn't able to run or jump without her legs giving out on her. My chow, karma was diagnosed with joint pain. The vet put him on meds, i tried other treats, he wouldn't eat them-they were hard wafers. Today i received the zuke's & he loves them!! they are softer & chewy-he thinks they are a treat! thank you...

I just started my akita allie (5yrs) on hipaction treats. She has had 2 acl surgeries in the past 8 months. She is scheduled to have the 1st knee redone. I can see some improvement in just 1 week on this treat, but surgery is still needed. I hope that a regular regimine of zuke's will help both her knees heal and get stronger. I miss my painfree pup and our long walks. As glucosamine has helped my aching joints, i thought it might help my 12 y.o. Border collie lizzie's arthritic wrist and hips. but, lizzie hated the human glucosamine pills and powders i tried to give her. However, she loves hip action treats, and i think they may be helping ease her pain and stiffness--at the very least, this picky eater thoroughly enjoys the daily treat.

Zoey and ivan,berners who are therapy dogs visit disabled children and adults, hospitals and nursing homes and ivan performs many tricks for the residents always being rewarded by any and all flavors of your mini naturals. Zoey who is older has realised that if she sits next to me when i am training ivan on new tricks that i slip her treats for doing nothing. What a life she has!!the treats are so nice and small and ivan learnt how to open and close drawers and cupboards, turn lights on etc etc all the time loving your treats. He is very food motivated. We run long distance and our mommie always has powerbones available. Even lobo the couch potato will do tricks for them. We don't know if the bone improve our performance (mommie says we are so much happier with them) but we sure love the powerbones. I started my border collie, bandit, on zuke's hipaction in jan 2005. I had found the product on the shelf of a local pet supply store. bandit had gotten to the point he would no longer run as a slow trot was his best speed. after 3 weeks on hipaction, bandit was back running, following me on my horse, exploring, and playing with my other border collie. bandit recently has started to have strokes which have slowed him down considerably. after each bout, the first thing he would start to eat was his hipaction. i know my old dog soon will not always recover from these strokes, as old age is quickly catching up with him. his last couple years will have been with a much better quality of life due to zukes. i would advise this product to anyone who has an old dog as these furry companions have certainly earned all we can do for them.

Holly, our 13 year old mini schnauzer will only eat zuke's power bones to get her day started. she has cancer and is receiving chemotherapy. her appetite has become very particular yet she waits for her zuke's power bone treats every morning. when all else fails, she still wants to eat her zuke's!

My 3 year old shih-tzu/bichon hurt her leg 2 years ago jumping off my parents' 2nd story balcony (i assume she thought she could fly - i still haven't figured that one out). since then, she limps after a long walk to the park, which we enjoy so much. She's such a picky eater and knows how to eat her way 'around' pills so the glucosamine tablets don't work and are terribly expensive. I am so happy we found your jerky naturals. we have a 15 year old papillion who was a rescue from a puppy mill. we got him when he was 7. he has always been in poor health, heart disease, liver and kidney disease and cancer. over the years his appetite has been very poor and he continued to lose weight. there were many days that he would refuse to eat at all. My dog birkie is nearly 15 years old. Last july she was diagnosed with lung cancer. After planning our puppy adoption for the last year, in august, my husband & i finally got maeby. She is a gorgeous beagle pup, and we have been in love with her from the moment we met. I had started giving moe bland traditional puppy treats, he was ok with them but i wasn't. I wanted something good for him but it also had taste great and thats how i found zuke's. I have a siberian husky, i tried peanut butter 'n blue berryz last week, i was surprise to be honest how affordable is and how great the ingredients are, my dog is allergic to chicken, chicken fat and chicken broth, most of the treats out there has any of this three ingredients that my dog can't have so is a challenge to get something good for him because he gets bored really quick too, but since he tried the mini bakes, he will do anything to get a treat, and he loves them. I love this product i would never buy anything else but this. I love it !!!!!! i would reconmend it to anybody.

It's been a year since i was told my baby had bad hips. Hello, my dog is only 6 months old. For about three months she has had problems standing up and she has even just fallen over. I have taken her to many vets and since she doesnt do this everyday they dont see anything wrong with her. A woman in asheville, nc told me about your treats that contain glucosamine. I hope they atleast help alittle. I hate to see her in pain and get no help.

Back in april 07, i went away on a 4 day business trip. when i returned home i found my 10 year old sheltie-collie mix in a miserable condition. i though that someone had beat him and broke his back. he could not get up or move. he just laid there and cried when he saw me. he seemed fine when i left. i questioned my wife and kids but they told me he seem a little slow on that morning but nothing had happen as far as they knew. this dog constantly was up and down stairs, up and down from the bed so my best guess was that he missed a step and got hurt. i took him to the vet and that’s when i got educated on hip dysphasia. x-rays show me the joints and what was going on. he gave my dog some glusosamine and some pain medicine but he did respond well to the pills. i knew he wouldn't. my dog never liked treats of any sorts and anytime he needed pills they had to be in small pieces wrapped in bread. i started researching and found zuke's hip action. i ordered the first bag of beef flavored in mid-may hoping that my dog would eat them. when they first arrived, he ate the first 4 or 5 i gave him but it was time for his flea/tic treatment which always makes him sick enough to loose his appetite for a few days and unfortunately that meant he would have nothing to do with the treats even after feeling better. i wanted to know if the treats would work since he was in so much pain, i didn't give up. i ordered the bag of peanut butter flavor and when they arrived, i promptly pulled one out the bag and put a dab of jelly on it, shoved it in his mouth and down the hatch. it is now august 12, 2007 and he's been eating them every day along with the power bones that i have started giving him. he is still a 10 year old dog and not a puppy, he is smart enough not to jump up on the bed although he has when he got real excited once - he knows it hurts coming down. He has slowed down on the steps but he has no problems with them. he runs after the bunnies in the yard in the morning and has no trouble getting up. he is not in the pain of a few months ago and we owe it all to zuke's hip action. i have not over stated the facts nor have i embellished on the results. this is the truth, it helped me and my dog marty, and if you give it to your dog, i believe it will help you too.. be faithful in giving it to your dog and don't expect results in a couple of days.

I first found your powerbones treats at one of the mast general stores while on vacation. I bought one bag, and tyke, my labradoodle puppy, is crazy for them! they are a wonderful training treat, because tyke will do just about anything to get one more! (including stealing the bag off the kitchen counter!) she is just starting agility work, and they make a wonderful reward on the course, or at home. Keep making them - tyke will keep eating them!!!!

Our dog, dixie, has been our faithful companion during our long marathon training runs. My dog is four month old cockapoo with allergies and a very picky eater, but when i open the first pack of peanut butter mini naturals and the lamb jerky it was amazing to see how much he loved the flavor, he even ate the first bag of mini naturals in two hours, i know it was a bit too much but he could't stop eating them. I used to think any treat was a treat to a dog. I certainly wasn't familiar with "treats" and in fact, not that interested in them at all... My two pugs stella and winston love mini naturals. i buy both the chicken and peanut butter flavor. they are litter box trained and get a mini each time they use the litter box. we haven't had an accident in a long time.

These treats are the very best for training your puppy/dog. my ludo (a mixed terrier) will do just about "anything" if she thinks it will get her one of your treats. if she sees me pick up the bag she automatically sits without me even having to give her the command. thank you so much for providing nutritious and fun treats for dogs.

I have two human children to whom i only feed natural, organic food. then we got a puppy, and i had a hard time finding a dog treat that i considered "natural enough" to feed to my dog. During my search i was at a pet speciaty shop and found zuke's. my dog luna loves eating them as rewards during training, and i love that they are helping her to stay a healthy puppy.

We train dogs here at the sanger powers correctional center. the dogs eventually go to the handicapped. Our primary training technique is positive reinforcement, where we reward the dogs when they respond to the given command. they really love zukes treats and are eager to please, knowing that they are going to get a zuke when they respond.

I found the jerky naturals at a pet store in vermont, when i was visiting friends at killington. They're awesome. My pittbull/rottweiler mix has a bad time processing any beef, wheat, corn, and a lot of other foods, so i was extremely excited to find a treat that had none of the products that he can't eat. My pug scooter has allergies and a thyroid condition. many other "premium" treats would lead to allergic reactions, but not so with the jerky naturals. Scooter is a very picky eater and loves these treats. I break them up into several pieces and put it into his kong. i have also found the jerky naturals can also be crumbled and reformed around pills to give my dog medication.

I am so happy we found your jerky naturals. we have a 15 year old papillion who was a rescue from a puppy mill. we got him when he was 7. he has always been in poor health, heart disease, liver and kidney disease and cancer. over the years his appetite has been very poor and he continued to lose weight. there were many days that he would refuse to eat at all. I have a 2 year old flat coated retriever, named cole. He has a very sensitive stomach and grains are not a good thing in our house. well, i've been looking for a wonderful chew that wasn't too expensive and that would some what last with a power chewer. I had been giving him nylabones, but even they wouldn't last too long. i picked up a z-ridge bone because i caught my eye; and i have been giving him the mini's as training treats so i knew that your products were easy on his stomach. Hey pat, i wanted to thank you for making such awesome pet treats! i know they are totally healthy, high quality, and gaging by the dogs' drool, they must taste pretty darn great too! when i even say the word zukes, it registers off the "tail-wagging/ears perking up/happy panting" scale with my dogs! tybal (rott/german shep) and teva (lab/pitt), get zukes during and/or after our daily hikes in the sandia foothills to fuel up or refuel but also just because they are sweetie pies. the beef jerky naturals are their favorites although they love all of the mini naturals too! these make excellent training treats. i used to have to break up a treat into smaller pieces, but now i jsut give them the minis since they are convenient, plus nutritious, moist and delicious (i am assuming they are delicious ... I've actually never tried them myself!) i recently gave them the new z-ridge bones and they immediately went to their separate spots in the yard to feast and to guard their treasures. they get very selfish when it comes to their zukes! i love that the z-ridge bones are healthy, keep their teeth clean and their breath fresh! thanks again and keep up the great work!

My yellow lab sprocket loves pretty much any food, but she goes nuts over zuke's z-ridge dental bones. She would eat them every night if i let her and sits and stares at the closet where i keep them in the hopes that i will break own and give her another one. I just wanted to say thanks for making such great products. My whippet, leo, was not a food motivated dog. I have a little shitzu named dutch. I was giving him a lot of different brands of chew bones but every time he developed some skin allergy from them. Since i started to buy z-ridge he has had no rash or itchiness at all. He likes this bone so much that as soon as i give it to him he disappears with it till it is gone. I bought the beef z filets in nyc while on vacation. what parent doesn't bring back a present for their child? i'm glad to find they are sold locally too because casey went nuts over them. i gave him a small piece and walked away only to find him sitting staring up at the bag on the cabinet. I gave him another piece. it took two extra pieces to satisfy him. he likes his treats but not like this. i'm off to buy more tomarrow morning. and some dogs i know are going to get some for christmas. dew claws up!

Always the best! zuke's has been a treat favorite for me for over a year. My pet parents are never without your treats. And i am glad they are made with great stuff and only from the usa. I have been giving my newfoundland the mini naturals since she was a very small pup. Great for training. she loves them! but i could not believe her reaction when the vets office gave her the glazed chicken z filets. Wow! she went crazy and can't get enough! thanks for changing it up for her!

Our 5lb yorkie puppy was snubbing most treats and our groomer suggested glazed chicken z-filets.... Wow were they a hit. Everytime he hears the bag open he gets excited. Our older shelter-chihuahua had very few teeth left when we got her so she can't eat hard snacks. About 4 months ago dickens fell from his window perch when the velcro let loose. I did not know he was injured or if he had arthritis setting in his hind hips. He is 14 yrs old now and weighs 13 lbs. A friend of mine was out in co and told me about zukes hip action for cats. I purchased some right away when the vet said it looked like arthritis. he was at the point of not sleeping with me because he would not jump up on the bed, he would just flop on the floor and fall sideways to lie down, he would not do anything that would make him jump up on anything even his favorite places to sleep. I have been trying to get glucosamine in my cat for several years. when i tried mixing the "common brand" in her food, fineky that she is, she just wouldn't have any part of it, and i just about gave up. she will soon be 21, and her hind legs are now frail. i saw your treats and started her on them - she absolutely loves them. after only 5 days, i thought my imagination and hope were playing tricks on me because i thought i saw an improvement. but, yes, it was true, and i can't believe it! her legs are so, so much better now. thank you for such a wonderful product - i just wish i would have found it long ago!

My nephew has been promoting glucosamine & chondroitin for stiff, arthritic limbs of our cats jumper (19) and maggie (16)since he had good results with his collie on drug store vitamins. a recent vacation to the carolinas found us in a mast general store and in front of a table full of your fine products and they are made specifically for dogs and cats! cats at an advanced age like these two can be extremely finicky eaters but i thought this worth a try. wow!! maggie has turned her nose up at every treat set in front of her for 5 years and jumper can pick a prescription pill out of any treat or food. they are both jumping on hind legs at the sound of the bag after 1 week. they must like something here! the humidity of summer is jumpers rough time of year as his hips and rear legs stiffen. we'll keep a very close eye on how he responds here, and if this standing on hind legs continues and if maggie keeps on eating then i guess you will have a loyal new customer family! also-thanks for a very helpful website. good to know there are local stores carrying your products and that i can order direct if i need to. will let you know how jumper and maggie do with "hip action" over time. thanks fred wordell

Out senior cat java, was a leaper when she was young, but over the past year has really shown her age and slowed down. We have had to add "cat stairs" for her to get up to her favorite perches. We found hip action at our local "chic" pet supply store after trying every other glucosamine product on the market. Java, has never been driven by food, so it is hard to trick her into eating a tablet in the place of her precious "cookies". She was wary at first- different consistancy- then she gobbled them up. And after reading all the wonderful testimonials on your site, i sent away for several more (including the salmon flavor which our store did not have.) it has only been a few weeks, but we have noticed a difference in her ability to jump down again. My 3 year old cat, hoots, was diagnosed with a knee displacia problem when she was just a year old. Mr. Boo is 14 and has been getting arthritis in his hips. It was getting so bad he couldn't jump and even walking was obviously painful. At night, our three cats get their "kitty cookies." all i have to do is call "kitty cookies!" and shake the bag and they all come running. they get a mixture of cat hip action and purrz. after starting this, our oldest cat (16) is now jumping up to the kitchen counters again! to see her running around, you would never know she is that old, and my husband and i agree that hip action has definitely made a big difference in her mobility. on the doggy side, i use mini naturals for training our dogs (four of them) and power bones as "rewards" after running at an agility trial. they all love them, and i love the small size of the minis for training and the nutrition of power bones for recovery after a hard day of running. thanks for such great products!!!

I adopted my kitty when she was about 9 weeks old (she is now 2). She was abandoned at 4 weeks and came from a litter of 9 kittens. I love her to death, but i must say she is horribly misbehaved. She lives for food, any food at all and it is a struggle to maintain her weight on her 6 pound tiny little frame. She loves these treats. She would give up a swim in the dogs water bowl, a climb up the curtains, a swing on the pool table lights, or even batting an ornament off the counter for just one of these treats. We just adopted our 2nd persian (both rescued from kitten mills). She's about 5 and spent most of her life in a cage.
