As glucosamine has helped my aching joints, i thought it might help my 12 y.o. Border collie lizzie's arthritic wrist and hips. but, lizzie hated the human glucosamine pills and powders i tried to give her. However, she loves hip action treats, and i think they may be helping ease her pain and stiffness--at the very least, this picky eater thoroughly enjoys the daily treat.

Our cat edgar lived in los angeles with us. When we decided to move to san francisco he was ten years old. The move was hardest on him. He settled into his new environment, but the cooler climate really took its toll on him. He constantly seemed achy and didn't seem to be getting around as easily as he once did. I have a siberian husky, i tried peanut butter 'n blue berryz last week, i was surprise to be honest how affordable is and how great the ingredients are, my dog is allergic to chicken, chicken fat and chicken broth, most of the treats out there has any of this three ingredients that my dog can't have so is a challenge to get something good for him because he gets bored really quick too, but since he tried the mini bakes, he will do anything to get a treat, and he loves them. I love this product i would never buy anything else but this. I love it !!!!!! i would reconmend it to anybody.

Before monroe (a 7+ y.o. Dachshund) started using hip action, he'd had 2 operations on his back in 3 years. The last one, this past may, left him with a limp in his left shoulder. We tried one snack and he liked it but bored of it quickly so we tried another and the same thing happened. A friend, who has an older dog, suggested hip action because their dog showed a nice improvement and so they continue to use it. So, i decided to try hip action and see how quickly he'd turn his nose up at this one. Well, that was 2 months ago and he practically jumps with glee and woofs when he hears the snack bottle shaken. He loves the taste of them and simply can't get enough of them! admittedly, he gets more than the suggested 1 per day for his size but he doesn't seem to be "overdosing" on them. Our little chihuahua has had a problem with her knee ever since she was a pup. It would pop out of place & she'd hop around with her leg up until we would massage it back into place. This would happen on a weekly basis. Her vet said it was a problem & she'd end up needing surgery at some point, especially if we didn't get her on a good glucosamine & chondroitin supplement. We tried a few & most were hard to get lydia to take because of the taste & texture. We didn't see much of an improvement either. Just wanted to say thanks for a wonderful product. my 7 year old labrador retriever is known as the laziest dog this side of the mississippi. he's simply low energy compared to other dogs. we finally found a performance event he enjoys, canine musical freestyle. but usually we have to plan every minute of the day of an event to make sure his energy is at the highest level possible at the exact moment of his performance, or he gives out, and refuses to work. it's often a lesson in futility, as sometimes it's just not possible to be that good with timing. a friend gave me some zukes power bones to try. this last weekend we had a demonstration event that lasted all day. i gave me some of the power bones treats about 45 minutes before his number, then had another in my hand, but forgot to give it to him. it turns out he didn't need it. he was so excited and happy. he worked wonderfully! and once the event was over, he still had tons more energy, and played for the rest of the day. me, i slept for 12 hours after the day at the fair and dancing all afternoon. not blackjack. he harrassed our other dog playing for two days before he even slowed down! i highly recommend zukes powerbones for any low energy dog, because nothing is better than seeing the bright happy eyes while doing such wonderful dance moves!

My vizsla loves zukes hip action treats so much that even in a taste test with his favorite treats (people food included) zukes wins every time. he doesn't even wait for commands but completes every trick he knows to get a zukes. this breed can get crazy when they want to be and zukes treats makes him nuts.

My dog birkie is nearly 15 years old. Last july she was diagnosed with lung cancer. After planning our puppy adoption for the last year, in august, my husband & i finally got maeby. She is a gorgeous beagle pup, and we have been in love with her from the moment we met. We rescued a german shorthaired pointer a week ago. he is 20 month old and had been locked in a small pen his whole life. he knew nothing- not how to climb stiars (he was so weak) not how to use the bathroom outside (nothing). i tried several dog treats and none he like- then i went to get him some bones (so he would stop eating my bed) and talked to the clerk at the dog food store. he suggested your mini-naturals but also added "i would never attempted that dog". the loss of our girl sea jay (also a gsp) killed us. Able is a healthy golden retriever who will be 2 this september. Able has an important job as my dog-guide so i like to keep him healthy by feeding him natural foods and treats. My 10 year old queensland healer kori, is a frisbie flyin fool, but with age comes soreness in her hips after a small session of flight, which has cut her flyin time down tremendously over the past few years. i would give her 2 baby asprin to help her out, as you could tell it was bothering her to get her backend up from laying down, and the first few steps were cautious. i saw the hip action treats at a little dog store in newhope, penn. My 6-year-old american staffordshire terrier tore her acl (ccl actually) and ended up having a very complicated and expensive knee surgery. after the surgery i was informed that there was some arthritis that had developed in her knee. six months after the surgery, miss cleo was stil holding her leg up when she first woke up in the morning. her surgeon informed me that it was possible that the arthritis was causing this problem and i should start her on glucosamine/chondroitin plus omega 3s. zukes was the only treat i could find that actually told me how much glucosamine was in each and every treat. that was so important to me and i was amazed that i could not find another product that had the same information. just about two weeks after starting her on zuke's she stopped holding her leg up and the slight limp has completely disappeared! she's running and playing like she did when she was 2 and i can not thank you enough! zuke's has made so much of a difference in her life!

Hello, i just love your hip action treats! my dog, chelsea, is 15 and i have been giving her zukes hip action for about 8 months now. she is part black lab, german shepard and doberman and she has been having hip problems for a number of years. since i started giving her zukes hip action treats, she has been much more active and much happier. she is able to trot along on our walks now, where before zukes, she was walking very slowly. chelsea loves the taste of zukes hip action, and since they are so soft, it is easy for her to chew them. hard, crunchy treats are no longer a treat for chelsea, as they hurt her jaw too much to enjoy. thank you so much for your wonderful product. you have added so much life and energy to my old friend. i shudder to think what our life would be without zukes hip action. sincerely, leslie and chelsea

I started my border collie, bandit, on zuke's hipaction in jan 2005. I had found the product on the shelf of a local pet supply store. bandit had gotten to the point he would no longer run as a slow trot was his best speed. after 3 weeks on hipaction, bandit was back running, following me on my horse, exploring, and playing with my other border collie. bandit recently has started to have strokes which have slowed him down considerably. after each bout, the first thing he would start to eat was his hipaction. i know my old dog soon will not always recover from these strokes, as old age is quickly catching up with him. his last couple years will have been with a much better quality of life due to zukes. i would advise this product to anyone who has an old dog as these furry companions have certainly earned all we can do for them.

At 6 months of age my doberman mix was hit by a car. She sustained substantial damage to her left wrist joint. She is now 5 years old and in addition to arthritis, has less than 10% mobility in that joint. She had frequent boughts of lameness, often resulting in weeks where she would not put weight on the injured leg. In the year that she received hipaction twice a day as a supplement she has only experienced occassional lamenes. It will last a day or two and then we get back into our long walk routine. For six months i've been feeding one hip action treat every day to my beloved little cairn terrier, seamus. Simon thought the treats were terrific. The catch is... Simon is a bird (a blue crowned conure to be exact). So, your bonz were hits with everyone! well, except carmen. I first found your powerbones treats at one of the mast general stores while on vacation. I bought one bag, and tyke, my labradoodle puppy, is crazy for them! they are a wonderful training treat, because tyke will do just about anything to get one more! Our dog, dixie, has been our faithful companion during our long marathon training runs. We were looking for something to give her as fuel without upsetting her stomach, and stumbled across power bones. My dog angel was diagnosed with bone cancer november 2009. It's been a rough road for our family. She has good days and bad days. Angel needs to eat to take her pain meds and keep up her strength. Elsa my 11 month yellow lab has been battling recurrent urinary tract infections as well as crystals in her urine since she was 7.5 weeks old. My girlfriend and i were training our 3 month old austrailian shepered and looking for a healthy alernative to use while clicker training beau. We didnt want beau to eat unhealthy treats since our clicker training requires he gets alot of them to reinforce his training. I have a border collie/great dane mix, 75 pounds, very sweet dog. He loves pb mini naturals as training treats. They're perfect for a treat trail up a training ramp or for both ends of an agility tunnel. I figure it's about the same as giving a person one m&m. He loves the flavor. they're also good for loose leash walking training. Any activity where i expect to give 5 or 10 treats in a row, i count on mini naturals even for a big dog.

My dog artie suffers from a very sensitive stomach. For christmas my boss was kind enough to remember artie with a 6oz. Of your mini chicken naturals. I though oh boy, but went ahead & tried them on my buddy. No stomach issues at all! so i started tossing him them here and there since he was never able to have treats in the past. One day i came home from work and he had helped himself to the entire bag! i did not sleep well the next couple of nights, but nothing ever happened. Looks like i found a treat for life! thanks.

I am so happy we found your jerky naturals. we have a 15 year old papillion who was a rescue from a puppy mill. we got him when he was 7. he has always been in poor health, heart disease, liver and kidney disease and cancer. over the years his appetite has been very poor and he continued to lose weight. there were many days that he would refuse to eat at all. I have tried everything trying to find something he would eat. he loves the the jerky treats. there are days when that is all i can get him to eat. thank you, i am sure this is contributing to his still being with us. I found the jerky naturals at a pet store in vermont, when i was visiting friends at killington. They're awesome. My pittbull/rottweiler mix has a bad time processing any beef, wheat, corn, and a lot of other foods, so i was extremely excited to find a treat that had none of the products that he can't eat. My pug scooter has allergies and a thyroid condition. many other "premium" treats would lead to allergic reactions, but not so with the jerky naturals. Scooter is a very picky eater and loves these treats. I break them up into several pieces and put it into his kong. i have also found the jerky naturals can also be crumbled and reformed around pills to give my dog medication.

While visiting a three dog bakery, i stumbled upon your z-ridge fresh breath dental chew bones. my dog has multiple allergies including wheat which are found in many similar chews. i took the bone home and piper loved it. thanks for developing a wheat-free chew bone! we will be purchasing your product again!

I ordered a couple of things from an online vendor, including one carrot z-ridge dental bone. When i got the box, daisy, my boston terrier/chihuahua cross showed her usual curiousity. However, she started to go bonkers when she smelled something in the box. I've never seen her get so crazy over anythng before! she started to spin around and jump and try to get the box from me. Finally, i put it down and let her take what she wanted out of it. It was the carrot z-ridge bone! i took it from her to take off the packaging, and then gave it back. She ran around the house with it, happier than i've seen her with any thing. She even ignored the cat walking by her when she was chewing it. Hey pat, i wanted to thank you for making such awesome pet treats! i know they are totally healthy, high quality, and gaging by the dogs' drool, they must taste pretty darn great too! when i even say the word zukes, it registers off the "tail-wagging/ears perking up/happy panting" scale with my dogs! tybal (rott/german shep) and teva (lab/pitt), get zukes during and/or after our daily hikes in the sandia foothills to fuel up or refuel but also just because they are sweetie pies. the beef jerky naturals are their favorites although they love all of the mini naturals too! these make excellent training treats. i used to have to break up a treat into smaller pieces, but now i jsut give them the minis since they are convenient, plus nutritious, moist and delicious (i am assuming they are delicious ... I've actually never tried them myself!) i recently gave them the new z-ridge bones and they immediately went to their separate spots in the yard to feast and to guard their treasures. they get very selfish when it comes to their zukes! i love that the z-ridge bones are healthy, keep their teeth clean and their breath fresh! thanks again and keep up the great work!

I have a 2 year old flat coated retriever, named cole. He has a very sensitive stomach and grains are not a good thing in our house. well, i've been looking for a wonderful chew that wasn't too expensive and that would some what last with a power chewer. I had been giving him nylabones, but even they wouldn't last too long. i picked up a z-ridge bone because i caught my eye; and i have been giving him the mini's as training treats so i knew that your products were easy on his stomach. And boy, cole went nuts! he started sniffing it and trying to bite it out of my hand, with the paper still on it, while we were in the pet store. So i bought that instead of the nylabone, and i have a very happy dog lying at my feet.

I just wanted to say thanks for making such great products. My whippet, leo, was not a food motivated dog. Now with the assistance of the mini naturals, he is has exelled at obedience training. leo would also like to comment on how much he loves the z-ridge dental bones. Ok, so i have this 10 yr old jack russell named petey who happens to be stuck in a 5 yr old kid's body. He's absolutely awesome. This past year he was diagnosed with calcium oxalyte stones and had to have emergency surgery. petey did great but i freaked when the vet told me about the very strict low protein, low oxalate diet he had to follow. probably being a registered dietitian didn't help. I researched every dog treat label in every pet store in nj. there are virtually no treats that are low in protein. I picked up z-ridge and finally found a treat that i can give petey. he barks at them at first then chews away! thank you zuke!

My 3 month old shih-tzu/yorkie mix puppy loves the z-ridge carrot bones. She loves to chew, but finding a bone that is both healthy and appealing to her has proven difficult. The z-ridge does the trick! once she has one she will run away and chew it until it is gone!

My puppy has a genetic liver issue. her body stores too much copper, so she has to be on a special diet. i accidently found zuke's at mounds in wisconsin. thank you for bring out z-filets. i can now give her treats that won't cause a higher level of copper in her liver. she thanks you very much...

I have been giving my newfoundland the mini naturals since she was a very small pup. Great for training. she loves them! but i could not believe her reaction when the vets office gave her the glazed chicken z filets. Wow! she went crazy and can't get enough! thanks for changing it up for her!

Our older shelter-chihuahua had very few teeth left when we got her so she can't eat hard snacks. She's also just crazy for chicken and after many trials and errors we finally found the only snack she will eat- the chicken z-filets. I bought the beef z filets in nyc while on vacation. what parent doesn't bring back a present for their child? i'm glad to find they are sold locally too because casey went nuts over them. i gave him a small piece and walked away only to find him sitting staring up at the bag on the cabinet. I gave him another piece. it took two extra pieces to satisfy him. he likes his treats but not like this. i'm off to buy more tomarrow morning. and some dogs i know are going to get some for christmas. dew claws up!

Our 5lb yorkie puppy was snubbing most treats and our groomer suggested glazed chicken z-filets.... Wow were they a hit. Everytime he hears the bag open he gets excited. It took a while for our cat to warm up to the new puppy we brought home. 3 years and 70 lbs later that dog now loves to nuzzle his 17 yr old cat sister but her aching hips wont allow it. Out senior cat java, was a leaper when she was young, but over the past year has really shown her age and slowed down. We have had to add "cat stairs" for her to get up to her favorite perches. We found hip action at our local "chic" pet supply store after trying every other glucosamine product on the market. Java, has never been driven by food, so it is hard to trick her into eating a tablet in the place of her precious "cookies". She was wary at first- different consistancy- then she gobbled them up. And after reading all the wonderful testimonials on your site, i sent away for several more (including the salmon flavor which our store did not have.) it has only been a few weeks, but we have noticed a difference in her ability to jump down again. I just got the cat hip action treats for my two cats. my cats love these!! i had tried 4 other products and they wouldn't touch any of them.

Our fat cat max sadly fractured his hip over a year ago. amazingly, his body created a "false" hip joint to allow him movement. But he's really never has been the same since his injury. (for example he exceled at jumping feline jams with small basketballs!) the good news is since his introduction to "hip action" his activity level and his jammin' days have returned! we love the all natural ingredients and max gives his paw "up" seal of approval! thanks for all your help and excellent product! david, julia, and max!

About 4 months ago dickens fell from his window perch when the velcro let loose. I did not know he was injured or if he had arthritis setting in his hind hips. He is 14 yrs old now and weighs 13 lbs. A friend of mine was out in co and told me about zukes hip action for cats. I purchased some right away when the vet said it looked like arthritis. he was at the point of not sleeping with me because he would not jump up on the bed, he would just flop on the floor and fall sideways to lie down, he would not do anything that would make him jump up on anything even his favorite places to sleep. I felt so sad i was afraid i would have to put him down if things got much worse. i started him on hip action about 3 weeks ago, and within 1 week he began to improve. Within 3 weeks of taking it and the natural purrz, he is back to his normal self , running, jumping, playing, purring and sleeping with me once again. while the vet said he has some cataracts even his eyes are clear and bright and he is so happy. I heard about your products from a yahoo group i was in. i have a senior catizen named dusty who is 13 years young. he often walked stiffly, like his joints hurt. he wasn't as playful as he used to be. i tried your hip action, and it is like i have a brand new cat!! he doesn't move stiffly anymore, and has even started playing with his cat toys again. every day he reminds me to feed him his treats. he loves them, and he is a very picky eater. She is almost 19-a siamese mix and vet said normal blood tests etc she is losing weight. Very fussy eater and we give her hip action brand treats as directed (its a glucosamine supplement for arthritis) and it gets her in eating mode......we then slip her some regular greenies and fav dry food and yes, she is on prednisone and vitamins she wont touch wet food ever-any kind- including 3 forms of tuna from the hip action for one year now, she is walking better, with less stiff looking gait

My 18 year old cat franny has been suffering with arthritis for the past year and has been walking with lowered hind legs. i have rejected useing veterinarian prescribed medications as there is great difficulty in administering them and i decline putting my old cat under that daily stress and discomfort -- but in the past month i have been giving hip action to fran (4 treats a day) and she is walking with her hind legs upright again. i can see she is more comfortable and experiencing much better motor function. thank you for a great product.

Georgie, our "brown tabby retriever" (he retrieves better than the puppy) will not leave me alone since i brought natural purrz home yesturday. We just adopted our 2nd persian (both rescued from kitten mills). She's about 5 and spent most of her life in a cage. Mayzee loves treats but ever since the petfood recall i have been nervous about giving them to her. then i found natural purrz, which are made in the usa from usa ingredients... I adopted my kitty when she was about 9 weeks old (she is now 2). She was abandoned at 4 weeks and came from a litter of 9 kittens. I love her to death, but i must say she is horribly misbehaved. She lives for food, any food at all and it is a struggle to maintain her weight on her 6 pound tiny little frame. She loves these treats. She would give up a swim in the dogs water bowl, a climb up the curtains, a swing on the pool table lights, or even batting an ornament off the counter for just one of these treats.
