Wally & i found each other at the spca about 9 years ago. He was very active & exceptionally well trained. A year or so ago he began showing signs of arthritis. It seemed to progress quickly. We train dogs here at the sanger powers correctional center. the dogs eventually go to the handicapped. Our primary training technique is positive reinforcement, where we reward the dogs when they respond to the given command. they really love zukes treats and are eager to please, knowing that they are going to get a zuke when they respond.

My 10 year old queensland healer kori, is a frisbie flyin fool, but with age comes soreness in her hips after a small session of flight, which has cut her flyin time down tremendously over the past few years. i would give her 2 baby asprin to help her out, as you could tell it was bothering her to get her backend up from laying down, and the first few steps were cautious. i saw the hip action treats at a little dog store in newhope, penn. Sir antonio chomper is a four year old mini-dachshund with problems of the spine. his is an active little dog who was limited until i found hip action through my local vet. he takes hip action once a day because he is so small but it is amazing how it helps him get around without problems. your product is wonderful and since my vet no longer carries the product i am glad that i can order directly from you online. antonio has a younger brother, mr. My yellow lab, finn, and i compete in a growing sport called dock jumping. it is an awesome way to bond with your dog and also an excellent way to wear him out! but, with power bones on our side, finn goes strong all day during an event, jumping on average about 19 feet, usually around 20 or 30 times! during training, he does uphill and shallow water retrieves and with power bones, he doesn't miss a beat. we love zuke's! he loves them because they taste great...i love them because they're made in the usa of excellent ingredients!

I have a german shepard with bad hips and we bought these glucosamine pills for humans and i was wondering if it would hurt to give them to our dog.

Just started my boys, 3 and 12 yrs old dachsies and a 4 yr old jack russell on hip action. i came across a vendor selling your products at an agility trial and passing out free samples. needless to say all the boys loved them. i also give the jack power bones for agility training. keep up with your great products.

Our 12 year old shar pei/corgi mix is insane for dog hip action. at about 6pm this dog starts dancing around and crying for his treat (shhh -- don't tell him it's good for him!). this little dog who just a few months ago could barely make it up a flight of stairs is jumping into the air to get his treat. thank you for this awesome product -- we've been able to take him off the anti-inflamitory medicine altogether -- love it!

i was very sad watching my best buddy, trip and fall over the smallest things, his hips were bothering him. But with just a few weeks of giving him the hip action treats. He is a new boy again.i encourage everyone that has an old buddy like myself to give them these treats. after all these are our kids abit furry, but as big of hart as you can ask for in a friend.

Woody is a 13-year old corgi who was having trouble with arthritis in his back and hind legs. nothing helped, and he was miserable. Someone suggested zuke's to me. he said that his dog was able to stop taking rimadyl thanks to hipaction treats. i was skeptical,but i bought a bag. After only two weeks, the difference is amazing. there has been a huge increase in woody's mobility, and he is obviously in less pain and enjoying his life again. he can get up and down easily, and "sat up" for the first time in months. The best part is, he loves them.

hi! our young pointing lab, bodhi, has something wierd going on with his back leg. sometimes he runs flat out normally, sometimes it looks like he just won't bend the leg and holds it out to the side. sometimes it even seems to give out. he's been xrayed (no signs of severe dysplasia, anyway) and he's had his knees palpitated and checked. he runs and jumps and is full of energy, but that back leg looks pitiful. i picked up some zukes in hood river, and he just finished his first 10 days. we're hoping to see improvement! if the leg fares better, you'll be the first to know. by the way, he loves them. he's such a good guy, we want him healthy and happy! thanks - debbie bruce and bodhi

Back in april 07, i went away on a 4 day business trip. when i returned home i found my 10 year old sheltie-collie mix in a miserable condition. i though that someone had beat him and broke his back. he could not get up or move. he just laid there and cried when he saw me. he seemed fine when i left. i questioned my wife and kids but they told me he seem a little slow on that morning but nothing had happen as far as they knew. this dog constantly was up and down stairs, up and down from the bed so my best guess was that he missed a step and got hurt. i took him to the vet and that’s when i got educated on hip dysphasia. x-rays show me the joints and what was going on. he gave my dog some glusosamine and some pain medicine but he did respond well to the pills. i knew he wouldn't. my dog never liked treats of any sorts and anytime he needed pills they had to be in small pieces wrapped in bread. i started researching and found zuke's hip action. i ordered the first bag of beef flavored in mid-may hoping that my dog would eat them. when they first arrived, he ate the first 4 or 5 i gave him but it was time for his flea/tic treatment which always makes him sick enough to loose his appetite for a few days and unfortunately that meant he would have nothing to do with the treats even after feeling better. i wanted to know if the treats would work since he was in so much pain, i didn't give up. i ordered the bag of peanut butter flavor and when they arrived, i promptly pulled one out the bag and put a dab of jelly on it, shoved it in his mouth and down the hatch. it is now august 12, 2007 and he's been eating them every day along with the power bones that i have started giving him. he is still a 10 year old dog and not a puppy, he is smart enough not to jump up on the bed although he has when he got real excited once - he knows it hurts coming down. He has slowed down on the steps but he has no problems with them. he runs after the bunnies in the yard in the morning and has no trouble getting up. he is not in the pain of a few months ago and we owe it all to zuke's hip action. i have not over stated the facts nor have i embellished on the results. this is the truth, it helped me and my dog marty, and if you give it to your dog, i believe it will help you too.. be faithful in giving it to your dog and don't expect results in a couple of days.

As glucosamine has helped my aching joints, i thought it might help my 12 y.o. Border collie lizzie's arthritic wrist and hips. but, lizzie hated the human glucosamine pills and powders i tried to give her. However, she loves hip action treats, and i think they may be helping ease her pain and stiffness--at the very least, this picky eater thoroughly enjoys the daily treat.

We have a small mixed breed dog, billy, who is nearly 16 years old. she has been remarkably healthy her entire life, and only really started showing signs of age a couple of years ago, when she showed stiffness in her joints and some mental confusion. our vet recommended glucosmamine, and we started giving her chewable tablets. however, she quickly got to where she refused to eat them and we had to grind them up and sprinkle it on her food, which was a pain. then i discovered zuke's hip action in the grocery store. i started giving her hip action as a glucosamine source, and she loved the biscuits. plus, within a month or so, it dawned on both me and my husband that she had a new level of alertness and bounce in her gait, which we attribute to the zuke's hip action. Billy still loves the biscuits and wolfs them down, and we think zuke's hip action is a factor in her excellent quality of life at her age. And, given its effect on billy, we give our other dog, a healthy 6-year old fox terrier, a hip action a day just for good measure. thanks for hip action!

My c.j. Is 12-1/2, a mix of border collie and welsh corgi. i've had her since she was about four months old when she was found as a stray. about 4 years ago, i had to get a prescription of arthritus medicine "for occasional use." i haven't used it in a year since i started her on zukes hip action over a year ago. i started her on one treat every morning and now give her two every morning. she loves the taste, especially the peanut butter. although she is aging, thanks in great part to zuke's, she is aging quite gracefully. a heartfelt thanks to helping make c.j.'s senior years much more comfortable!

Hi! we have the finickiest chow mix known to man. We bought a bag of peanut butter power bonz at the pride fest 6/24/2001. Narnia actually liked the treats!! then we gave a small piece to simon. Simon thought the treats were terrific. The catch is... Simon is a bird (a blue crowned conure to be exact). So, your bonz were hits with everyone! well, except carmen. What a great find to discover zuke's at my local natural food store. my yorkshire terrier puppy, sophie, is exceptionally hard-headed and not motivated by food, so training has been challenging. she is so strong and agile that we knew she would exceed with agility training if only we could find something to motivate her. Zuke's powerbones have been wonderful. she loves them and they are the perfect treat for her after a hard day of agility training. she did her first back flip today . . . All for a powerbone!

My whipet puppy loves the mini naturals! they are the perfect size for use as training aids (we actually cut them in half as she can go through a whole bag in a longer session). Doesn't matter which flavor we use as she loves them all. Thanks for making a great product!

My dog artie suffers from a very sensitive stomach. For christmas my boss was kind enough to remember artie with a 6oz. Of your mini chicken naturals. I though oh boy, but went ahead & tried them on my buddy. No stomach issues at all! so i started tossing him them here and there since he was never able to have treats in the past. My pug scooter has allergies and a thyroid condition. many other "premium" treats would lead to allergic reactions, but not so with the jerky naturals. Scooter is a very picky eater and loves these treats. I break them up into several pieces and put it into his kong. i have also found the jerky naturals can also be crumbled and reformed around pills to give my dog medication.

I am so happy we found your jerky naturals. we have a 15 year old papillion who was a rescue from a puppy mill. we got him when he was 7. he has always been in poor health, heart disease, liver and kidney disease and cancer. over the years his appetite has been very poor and he continued to lose weight. there were many days that he would refuse to eat at all. I found the jerky naturals at a pet store in vermont, when i was visiting friends at killington. They're awesome. My pittbull/rottweiler mix has a bad time processing any beef, wheat, corn, and a lot of other foods, so i was extremely excited to find a treat that had none of the products that he can't eat. Hey pat, i wanted to thank you for making such awesome pet treats! i know they are totally healthy, high quality, and gaging by the dogs' drool, they must taste pretty darn great too! when i even say the word zukes, it registers off the "tail-wagging/ears perking up/happy panting" scale with my dogs! tybal (rott/german shep) and teva (lab/pitt), get zukes during and/or after our daily hikes in the sandia foothills to fuel up or refuel but also just because they are sweetie pies. the beef jerky naturals are their favorites although they love all of the mini naturals too! these make excellent training treats. i used to have to break up a treat into smaller pieces, but now i jsut give them the minis since they are convenient, plus nutritious, moist and delicious (i am assuming they are delicious ... I've actually never tried them myself!) i recently gave them the new z-ridge bones and they immediately went to their separate spots in the yard to feast and to guard their treasures. they get very selfish when it comes to their zukes! i love that the z-ridge bones are healthy, keep their teeth clean and their breath fresh! thanks again and keep up the great work!

My dog, maui is suffering from some kind of wheat allergy. i found the z-ridge bones at her groomers and decided to try one...she loved it so much that she carried it around the house with her for an hour, then she ate it. her breath smells wonderful, and i'm happy that i can give her something to chew, and freshen her breath, that won't cause her to break out in hives! thank you so much!

Now with the assistance of the mini naturals, he is has exelled at obedience training. leo would also like to comment on how much he loves the z-ridge dental bones. He has tried other "dental treats" but these are his favourites. My border collie, louise, has food/treat restrictions. No chicken, beef, lamb, pretty much just fish or veggies. The dental bones that zuke's created are perfect for her! finally we have found something that she loves and she can chew on. I ordered a couple of things from an online vendor, including one carrot z-ridge dental bone. When i got the box, daisy, my boston terrier/chihuahua cross showed her usual curiousity. However, she started to go bonkers when she smelled something in the box. I've never seen her get so crazy over anythng before! she started to spin around and jump and try to get the box from me. Finally, i put it down and let her take what she wanted out of it. It was the carrot z-ridge bone! i took it from her to take off the packaging, and then gave it back. I have a little shitzu named dutch. I was giving him a lot of different brands of chew bones but every time he developed some skin allergy from them. Since i started to buy z-ridge he has had no rash or itchiness at all. He likes this bone so much that as soon as i give it to him he disappears with it till it is gone. Our older shelter-chihuahua had very few teeth left when we got her so she can't eat hard snacks. My two little guys have always loved their kitty treats. unfortunately, the ingredients in those treats are absolutely awful. i just recently discovered your product. i was thrilled after reading the content info., but didn't think my cats would like the treats, as they've not responded well to any other "natural" or "organic" foods. i'm happy to report, i was wrong. they love their new treats. your brand will be the only one they'll be eating from now on. thank you!!!!!!!

Our cat edgar lived in los angeles with us. When we decided to move to san francisco he was ten years old. The move was hardest on him. He settled into his new environment, but the cooler climate really took its toll on him. He constantly seemed achy and didn't seem to be getting around as easily as he once did. We discovered hip action at our neighborhood pet store and figured if glucosamine did such wonders for older people it might be worth a try for him. After a few weeks he was like a whole different cat. His mobility came back and he's been feeling good since. Mr. Boo is 14 and has been getting arthritis in his hips. It was getting so bad he couldn't jump and even walking was obviously painful. My 9 year old maine coon had knee surgery at 1 year old and stopped jumping on anything higher than about 3 feet. now, after giving him the hip action treats, i have to watch where i put things because he’s jumping and running like a kitten again. as for the taste; he’s tried several times to rip the package open to get after them and, again, he hasn’t done that since he was a kitten. this goes for all the flavors, as well! thanks for giving me back the little kitty i remember.

My 3 year old cat, hoots, was diagnosed with a knee displacia problem when she was just a year old. Our cat edgar lived in los angeles with us. When we decided to move to san francisco he was ten years old. The move was hardest on him. This is absolutely a great prodcut for older cats, pokie my 23 year old senior citizen kitty absolutely loves them and they really make a big difference in his mobility..he has been taking them for quite a while and still hops up on the bed and window sills, he loves the taste of them, looks forward to eating them and we look forward to having him with us for more years to come. We just adopted our 2nd persian (both rescued from kitten mills). She's about 5 and spent most of her life in a cage.
