About 7 months ago, after nearly 2 years of not knowing what was wrong, my 9 year old cat was diagnosed with an intolerance to chicken products. I switched her food to a limited ingredient diet and all was well–she was finally keeping food down again. But try as I might, I couldn’t find treats without chicken product in them. She missed getting treats, but Misao wouldn’t touch tuna or any other “human” food I tried to give her.

By chance, I saw the Salmon Natural Purrz when I was at my local health food store. I had already pretty much given up hope of finding a chicken-product-less treat, but I decided to check anyway, just in case. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that there was really no chicken (or chicken fat). I read the label several times, wondering if I had just managed to miss it.

I wasn’t sure she would like them, since she never liked “healthy” cat foods in the past, but I got them anyway. How could I not try, when I had finally found something? But it turned out I didn’t need to worry; she doesn’t just like them, she loves them.

I haven’t seen Misao this happy in a long time. She comes running when she hears the bag, something she never did before. She gobbles the treat up and begs for more, purring and rubbing all over me. And not only can she eat them without getting sick, but they’re actually healthy for her, too. I can’t ask for any more than that!

Thank you, Zuke’s, for making a treat I can actually give my cat.

So I thought she might be in pain. The vet confirmed arthritis, especially in the hips, and recommended Zuke’s Hip Action (Salmon, for the omega-3). I bought two bags of the Natural Purrz from Whole Foods because they were on sale. I wanted to try the soft chew because I have a cat who won’t eat the crunchy ones. They all gobbled them up, even Tootsie! When I looked at the ingredients to find out what they loved about them so much, and I was surprised to see all of the ingredients were exceptional. Not only were they natural and good for my babies, but they were palatable AND made in Colorado! I wanted to give Zuke’s praise immediately! I will be a Zuke’s only household from now on! I have spent nearly $500 on vet- prescribed medications for my cat Bali’s arthritis – and I have been unsuccessful in getting these meds into my cat. He is 13, and weighs about 23 lbs. and refuses everything.

I live in the Canadian Arctic, at the 61st Parallel, in the Yukon – and we don’t have much shopping here. We have 2 pet stores and they mostly cater to sled dogs and their nutritional needs.

At 16 years my sweet grey tabby Precious’s joints just weren’t what they used to be. I’d tried every hip & joint product on the market and couldn’t get any into her without a struggle.

Bianca is a 6 year old long hair white, princess, kitty cat.She only likes dry chow. No human food, No milk,Tuna fish or Tuna juice, No meat of any kind. I have always wanted to find some kind of a kitty treat for her that she would not get sick on. One day I went into a Health food store and saw the “Zukes” kitty treats.I decided to buy them to see if Bianca would be interested.Well, much to my surprise and delight she is CRAZY for these treats!!! All my husband and I have to do is krinkle the bag a little and she comes from anywhere to get one of these treats. Next to my bed is a desk where I put the Zuke kitty treats. My three wonderful cats LOVE LOVE LOVE their Zuke’s Natural Purrz (all flavours)!
They are all rescues (and I suppose now that they have a “taste” for the good life) they can be really picky when it comes to snacks and meals.
As soon as the Zuke’s package comes out, they are all so cute… doing tricks and “singing” for their favourite treats!

Cheeca the cat is an eight year old Himalayan. He was rescued from a near death state of neglect one year ago and is now a happy healthy cat. I have given him a few different types of treats, which he would take, but not with much gusto or excitement. Yesterday i bought a bag of Zuke’s Natural Purrz chicken treats. Upon inspecting and tasting his first natural purrz treat, Cheeca the laid back docile Himalayan became crazed with desire for more. You could hear the skitter-skatter of his nails on the floor as he chased me full speed through the house, with his eyes on the treat bag. These treats are amazing, and Cheeca approved on the highest level. It’s like feeding an alligator! Kudos to Zukes for making the best cat treats ever! I’m hooked and CHEECA APPROVES.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for this product. I bought the Hip Action treats not even realizing what they were, I just wanted a moist treat for my 16 year old Maine Coon who cannot chew the hard treats anymore. We are not even through the first bag yet and we can see a huge difference in her already. Miss Kitty had a luxating patella 10 years ago and has never been able to walk or jump right ever since. Over the years her hips have also gotten bad, she walked with her rump low to the ground and a “halloween cat” arch in her back. We got her stairs to get to her favorite spots and had a custom “tree” built for her with ramps so she wouldn’t have to jump or climb to look out the window. Since starting on the treats she walks with her back legs much straighter and the arch in her back while still there is not as noticeable. She has even started standing up to check things out, jumping in the bathtub, and jumping off things again. She has done none of this for at least 5-6 years!! We even had to re-arrange furniture and start keeping doors to bathrooms closed to make sure she doesn’t hurt herself! I already have another bag bought to make sure she won’t have to go a day without them. Thanks again for giving Miss Kitty the chance to live out her senior years comfortably.

Schmelly is 17 and had lost a lot of the spring in her step. She rarely jumped up on anything, anymore. We tracked down your Hip Action and WOW, what an improvement. Her hips have put on muscle, she does not yip when she tries to settle and she is jumping up where she has not been in years.
