ZUKE’S ADVENTURE PHOTO CONTEST!

It is becoming quite common for people to partake in their outdoor activities with their furry friends in tow. Even Zuke’s got its inspiration when founder, Patrick Meiering, was on a long hike with his now infamous chocolate lab, Zuke. Patrick noticed how exhausted Zuke was during the hike and quickly realized that Zuke needed an energy-rich snack that would revitalize him and keep him going, without merely feeding him empty calories. Zuke needed a power bar!
With that, Patrick started coming up with what is today called Zuke’s Power Bones, using a hand mixer in his garage. As Zuke’s began to expand from the garage to the basement to its present-day facility in Durango, Colo., the company began coming up with great new products that were nutritionally sound and healthy, and provided many different functions to keep cats and dogs active and healthy.
So, now we want to hear your story! And reward you for it.
How do you enter? It’s simple:
- Email adventure2010@zukes.com with the following info:
- A picture of you and your beloved pet exploring the outdoors
- Provide us, in 200 words or less, a description of that particular outdoor adventure and what part Zuke’s played. Have fun. Be funny. Stand out!
- Don’t forget include your name and address!
That’s it! We will be posting all of the entries for 3 weeks, starting July 19 - August 9. Then we will announce our top 10 choices and let you vote on the winner!
What do you get? Well over $200 worth of treats and schwag from Zuke’s, including a bandana for your pet, a hat for you, and an eco-friendly tote bag.

Do humans have to be present in the photo? Or can it just be an adventure photo with canines in it?

We prefer that the picture includes yourself as well as your pet. We want to see you guys outside playing together! However, we understand that sometimes people get amazing pictures of just their dog in the outdoors so if you have a great shot of just your pet – you can still win! Thanks for your question!
