About 7 months ago, after nearly 2 years of not knowing what was wrong, my 9 year old cat was diagnosed with an intolerance to chicken products. I switched her food to a limited ingredient diet and all was well–she was finally keeping food down again. But try as I might, I couldn’t find treats without chicken product in them. She missed getting treats, but Misao wouldn’t touch tuna or any other “human” food I tried to give her.

By chance, I saw the Salmon Natural Purrz when I was at my local health food store. I had already pretty much given up hope of finding a chicken-product-less treat, but I decided to check anyway, just in case. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that there was really no chicken (or chicken fat). I read the label several times, wondering if I had just managed to miss it.

I wasn’t sure she would like them, since she never liked “healthy” cat foods in the past, but I got them anyway. How could I not try, when I had finally found something? But it turned out I didn’t need to worry; she doesn’t just like them, she loves them.

I haven’t seen Misao this happy in a long time. She comes running when she hears the bag, something she never did before. She gobbles the treat up and begs for more, purring and rubbing all over me. And not only can she eat them without getting sick, but they’re actually healthy for her, too. I can’t ask for any more than that!

Thank you, Zuke’s, for making a treat I can actually give my cat.

My hesitant pup

I got my pup Dillon, a Sheltie, two months ago. He is a very timid shy hesitant pup. We tried puppy socialization class and he would not come to me with treats in my hand. Then I discovered Mean Greenz and I was the one who was hesitant as to whether he would eat these or not. I mean come on, barley, oats, molasses, veges, no meat?!!! He loves these treats. Absolutely loves them and I do too because of all their healthy ingredients and that they are made in the good ole USA and then locally on top of that. I am a great supporter of local businesses and anything made in USA. So both Dillon and I came out winners and you have won us over as loyal customers. Thanks for great treats.

Just wanted to say (on behalf of Mr. Kovu Cat) thank you for making these awesome treats! Mr. Kovu is very picky about his foods & Zuke’s Natural Purrz are the only treats he will eat. He LOVES them! Every day when I get off work, first thing he jumps up on the kitchen counter & waits for me to get his treats out.
